Doxofylline

Doxofylline is a methylxanthine derivative with bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory activities. Unlike traditional xanthines like theophylline, it exhibits significantly lower affinity for adenosine receptors and does not interfere with calcium influx, resulting in fewer cardiac, central nervous system, and gastrointestinal side effects.
