Aminophylline

A salt of theophylline that is more soluble. It is used in hospital settings for children not responding to inhaled rescue medications.

Dosage by Body Weight

Loading dose (if not on theophylline): 5–6 mg/kg. Maintenance is by continuous infusion or divided doses. Requires blood level monitoring.
