Doxobid

Doxobid contains Doxofylline, a xanthine bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the bronchial airways and pulmonary blood vessels, reducing airway resistance and facilitating easier breathing for patients with obstructive airway diseases.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard adult dosage is typically 400 mg taken once or twice daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. For children, the dose is determined based on body weight, usually around 12 mg/kg/day split into two equal doses, preferably administered as a syrup.
