Isovit

Isovit is a prescription antibacterial medicine containing Isoniazid. It is a primary first-line medication used in the prevention and treatment of active and latent tuberculosis. It works by selectively inhibiting the synthesis of mycolic acids, which are essential components of the cell wall of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Dosage by Body Weight

To ensure optimal absorption, Isovit should be taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals). Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is frequently co-prescribed to prevent peripheral neuropathy. Dosage must be strictly adjusted and monitored by a physician.
