Anidulafungin

Anidulafungin is a semi-synthetic echinocandic antifungal agent. It works by selectively inhibiting the synthesis of 1,3-beta-D-glucan, an essential component of the fungal cell wall, which is absent in mammalian cells. This leads to fungal cell lysis and death.
