Avanafil

Avanafil is a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow to enable and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation. It is known for its rapid onset of action compared to older medications in the same class.

Dosage by Body Weight

The recommended starting dose is 100 mg taken orally as needed, approximately 15 to 30 minutes before sexual activity. Based on individual efficacy and tolerability, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 200 mg or decreased to 50 mg. Do not take more than once daily. Avoid use with nitrates or significant amounts of alcohol.
