Zedott

Zedott contains Racecadotril, which is an enkephalinase inhibitor. It works by reducing the hypersecretion of water and electrolytes in the intestinal lumen, thereby managing acute diarrhea efficiently without prolonging intestinal transit time or causing abdominal bloating.

Dosage by Body Weight

For adults, the typical dose is 100 mg three times daily before meals. For pediatric patients, the dosage is calculated based on body weight (approximately 1.5 mg/kg per dose) given three times daily. It should be administered in conjunction with oral rehydration therapy.
