Racedom

Racedom is a combination medication containing Racecadotril (an antisecretory enkephalinase inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist antiemetic). It is prescribed to manage acute diarrhea and associated vomiting. Racecadotril reduces the hypersecretion of water and electrolytes in the intestines without affecting basal secretion or intestinal transit time, while Domperidone controls nausea and vomiting by acting on the chemoreceptor trigger zone.
