Pyrazide

Pyrazide is an antimycobacterial medicine containing Pyrazinamide. It is specifically active against intracellular Mycobacterium tuberculosis during the early, active phase of treatment. It is highly effective in acidic environments, such as inside inflammatory cells, and is always used in combination with other anti-TB agents to prevent drug resistance.

Dosage by Body Weight

Pyrazide must be taken exactly as prescribed by a physician, usually once daily. Dosage is determined strictly by patient body weight. Regular monitoring of liver function and serum uric acid levels is highly recommended during therapy.
