Tobi Podhaler

TOBI Podhaler is an inhaled formulation of Tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibacterial, specifically designed for dry powder inhalation using the Podhaler device. It is used to treat or prevent chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections in the lungs of cystic fibrosis patients.

Dosage by Body Weight

For patients 6 years of age and older, the standard dose is 112 mg (4 x 28 mg capsules) inhaled twice daily for a 28-day cycle, followed by 28 days off-therapy. Do not swallow the capsules. Administer doses as close to 12 hours apart as possible (no less than 6 hours apart).
