Terbi
Terbi contains Terbinafine, an allylamine antifungal agent. It works by selectively inhibiting squalene epoxidase, a key enzyme in fungal sterol biosynthesis. This results in ergosterol deficiency and an intracellular accumulation of squalene, leading to fungal cell death.
Dosage by Body Weight
For adults, the typical oral dosage is 250 mg once daily. The duration of treatment varies: 2 to 4 weeks for tinea cruris/corporis, 2 to 6 weeks for tinea pedis, and 6 to 12 weeks for nail infections. It can be taken with or without food.
