Somatuline Depot

Somatuline Depot (lanreotide) is a long-acting somatostatin analog. It works by reducing the levels of certain hormones in the body, such as growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), and by suppressing the growth of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors.

Dosage by Body Weight

Administered only by a healthcare professional via deep subcutaneous injection. For acromegaly, the recommended starting dose is 90 mg every 4 weeks for 3 months, then adjusted based on hormone levels and symptoms. For GEP-NETs and carcinoid syndrome, the recommended dose is 120 mg every 4 weeks.
