Selsun Suspension

Selsun Suspension contains Selenium Sulfide, an antifungal and anti-seborrheic agent. It works by reducing the growth of the yeast (Pityrosporum ovale) that contributes to dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, and by slowing down the turnover of skin cells on the scalp, which reduces flaking, itching, and redness.

Dosage by Body Weight

For topical use only. For dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis: Apply 5 to 10 mL to wet scalp, massage thoroughly, leave on for 2 to 3 minutes, rinse thoroughly, and repeat. Use twice weekly for 2 weeks, then reduce frequency to once weekly or once every 2 weeks for maintenance. For tinea versicolor: Apply to affected areas of the body, lather with a small amount of water, leave on for 10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. Repeat daily for 7 days.
