Primacin

Primacin contains Primaquine, an antimalarial medication that targets the tissue/liver stages (hypnozoites) of Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium ovale to prevent relapse. It is also used to prevent transmission of Plasmodium falciparum. Due to the risk of severe hemolytic anemia, G6PD deficiency screening is mandatory for all patients prior to initiating therapy.
