Nesina

Nesina contains alogliptin, an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. It is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones in the body, which stimulate the release of insulin after meals and decrease the amount of sugar made by the body.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard recommended dose for adults is 25 mg taken orally once daily, with or without food. Dosage adjustments are required for patients with moderate to severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
