Natrecor

Natrecor (nesiritide) is a sterile, purified recombinant human B-type natriuretic peptide (hBNP). It works by binding to the particulate guanylyl cyclase receptor of vascular smooth muscle and endothelial cells, leading to smooth muscle cell relaxation, vasodilation, and reduction in pulmonary capillary wedge pressure and systemic arterial pressure.
