Larinate

Larinate is an antimalarial medication containing Artesunate, an artemisinin derivative. It acts rapidly by killing the malaria parasites (schizonts) in the red blood cells. It is widely used in both oral and parenteral forms for treating malaria and is typically prescribed as part of an Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy (ACT) to minimize the development of drug resistance.

Dosage by Body Weight

Larinate should be taken exactly as directed by a physician. The duration and dose depend on the patient's body weight, age, and clinical severity. It is usually administered daily for 3 to 5 days, often in combination with a companion drug.
