Lamivir HBV

Lamivir HBV contains Lamivudine, an antiviral nucleoside analogue. It is specifically formulated at a lower strength (100 mg) to treat chronic hepatitis B. It works by inhibiting the HBV viral polymerase, which blocks the replication of the hepatitis B virus, reducing the viral load in the body and limiting liver damage.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard adult dosage is 100 mg once daily, taken with or without food. It is crucial to take this medication regularly at the same time each day. Do not discontinue treatment abruptly, as this can cause a severe worsening of hepatitis B. Regular monitoring of liver function and viral load is required.
