Zeffix

Zeffix is an antiviral medication containing lamivudine, a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI). It works by selectively inhibiting hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication in liver cells, reducing viral load and decreasing liver inflammation.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard adult dose is 100 mg once daily, taken with or without food. For pediatric patients aged 2 to 11 years, the dose is calculated based on body weight (typically 3 mg/kg once daily, up to a maximum of 100 mg per day). Close medical supervision and regular liver function monitoring are required.
