Kerlone

Kerlone (betaxolol) is a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It works by reducing the workload on the heart and helping it beat more regularly, which lowers blood pressure and decreases the risk of cardiovascular events like strokes and heart attacks.

Dosage by Body Weight

The usual starting dose for adults is 10 mg once daily. If the desired reduction in blood pressure is not achieved within 7 to 14 days, the dose may be increased to 20 mg once daily. Not recommended for pediatric use as safety and efficacy have not been established.
