Nebivolol

Nebivolol is a highly selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist with unique nitric oxide-mediated vasodilating properties. It helps lower blood pressure, reduce heart rate, and decrease the workload on the heart by relaxing blood vessels.

Dosage by Body Weight

For adults, the typical starting dose for hypertension is 5 mg once daily, which may be increased up to 40 mg once daily depending on patient response. In patients with renal impairment or elderly patients, a lower starting dose of 2.5 mg once daily is recommended. It is not recommended for pediatric use.
