Imutrex is an antimetabolite and immunosuppressant drug. It interferes with the growth of certain rapidly reproducing cells in the body, which helps in controlling severe psoriasis and cancer, and modifies the immune system to reduce joint pain and swelling in rheumatoid arthritis.
