Trexall
Trexall is an antimetabolite and immunosuppressant prescription medication. It works by slowing the growth of cancer cells and suppressing an overactive immune system in autoimmune conditions. Because of its potency, it must be handled with care and is often prescribed on a weekly dosing schedule for non-oncology indications.
Dosage by Body Weight
Dosages must be highly individualized and closely monitored by a physician. For rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis, Trexall is typically taken ONCE WEEKLY. Daily use can lead to severe or fatal toxicity. Regular monitoring of liver, kidney, and blood counts is required.
