Frusid

Frusid contains furosemide, which is a potent loop diuretic (water pill). It prevents the body from absorbing too much salt, allowing the salt and water to instead be passed in the urine. This action reduces swelling, fluid build-up, and blood pressure.

Dosage by Body Weight

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The typical adult starting dose for edema is 20 mg to 80 mg as a single dose. For children, the dose is calculated based on body weight, typically starting at 1 to 2 mg/kg per day.
