Diclofenac Sodium
Diclofenac sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties. It works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, which in turn decreases the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for mediating pain, fever, and inflammation.
