Cataflam
Cataflam contains diclofenac potassium, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation. Unlike diclofenac sodium, diclofenac potassium is rapidly absorbed, making it suitable for treating acute painful and inflammatory conditions.
Dosage by Body Weight
The usual adult dose for acute pain or primary dysmenorrhea is 50 mg taken 3 times a day. For osteoarthritis, the recommended dosage is 100-150 mg/day in divided doses. For rheumatoid arthritis, the recommended dosage is 150-200 mg/day in divided doses. Always take with food or milk to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
