Dexasporin

Dexasporin is a prescription combination ophthalmic medication containing a corticosteroid (dexamethasone) to reduce swelling and inflammation, and two antibiotics (neomycin and polymyxin B) to prevent or treat bacterial infections of the eye.

Dosage by Body Weight

Ophthalmic suspension: Instill 1 to 2 drops into the conjunctival sac(s) 4 to 6 times daily. Ophthalmic ointment: Apply a small amount (about a 1/2-inch ribbon) into the conjunctival sac(s) 3 to 4 times daily. Dosage is determined by an ophthalmologist or healthcare provider and is not based on body weight.
