Convulex

Convulex is an anticonvulsant and mood-stabilizing medication containing valproic acid. It works by increasing levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain, helping to prevent seizures, stabilize mood, and prevent migraines.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage must be individualized by a physician. The starting dose is usually 10-15 mg/kg daily, slowly increased to reach the optimal therapeutic dose. Usually divided into 2 or more daily doses. Capsules must be swallowed whole.
