BCG Vaccine USP

BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin) Vaccine USP is a live attenuated strain of Mycobacterium bovis. It is primarily used for the active immunization against tuberculosis, particularly to prevent tuberculous meningitis and miliary tuberculosis in infants and young children. It is also used in higher concentrated formulations for intravesical treatment of primary or recurrent superficial papillary bladder cancer.

Dosage by Body Weight

Administered strictly intradermally by a healthcare professional for tuberculosis vaccination. Standard dose is 0.05 mL for infants under 12 months of age, and 0.1 mL for children 12 months and older and adults. BCG is dosed based on age, not body weight.
