Alfacal

Alfacal contains Alfacalcidol, which is a synthetic analogue of Vitamin D3. It is rapidly converted in the liver to 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (calcitriol), the active form of Vitamin D. Unlike standard Vitamin D, it does not require activation by the kidneys, making it highly effective for patients with impaired renal function to help regulate calcium and phosphate metabolism.
