Alcaftadine

Alcaftadine is an H1 histamine receptor antagonist indicated for the prevention of itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms such as red, watery, or itchy eyes.

Dosage by Body Weight

For ophthalmic use only. Instill one drop into each affected eye once daily. Remove contact lenses prior to administration; they may be reinserted 10 minutes following administration if eyes are not red.
