Vermox

Vermox is an anthelmintic medication containing mebendazole. It works by destroying the structures within the worm's cells, preventing them from absorbing glucose, which ultimately leads to the death of the parasite. It is highly effective for localized intestinal worm infections.

Dosage by Body Weight

For pinworms, the standard dose is a single 100 mg tablet, which is typically repeated in 2 to 3 weeks to prevent reinfection. For other common worm infections (roundworm, whipworm, hookworm), the standard dose is 100 mg twice daily (morning and evening) for 3 consecutive days. Tablets can be chewed, swallowed whole, or crushed and mixed with food.
