Tobradex

Tobradex is a prescription ophthalmic medication containing Tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, and Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid. It is designed to treat bacterial infections of the eye while simultaneously reducing swelling, redness, and inflammation.

Dosage by Body Weight

For suspension (eye drops): Instill 1 to 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours. During the initial 24 to 48 hours, dosage may be increased to 1 to 2 drops every 2 hours. For ointment: Apply a 1/2-inch ribbon into the conjunctival sac(s) up to 3 to 4 times daily.
