Tibitol

Tibitol contains Ethambutol, an antitubercular agent that interferes with RNA synthesis and inhibits mycobacterial cell wall synthesis. It is bacteriostatic and is always prescribed as part of a multidrug regimen to prevent the development of drug-resistant tuberculosis.

Dosage by Body Weight

Take once daily, with or without food, exactly as prescribed. Dosage is determined strictly by body weight (typically 15 to 25 mg/kg once daily). Regular ophthalmic monitoring is recommended during treatment due to the risk of optic neuritis.
