Taxotere

Taxotere is a clinically established anti-neoplastic chemotherapy medication belonging to the taxane drug class. It works by binding to and stabilizing tubulin in microtubules, preventing cell division and leading to the death of rapidly multiplying cancer cells.

Dosage by Body Weight

Taxotere is administered strictly via intravenous infusion by healthcare professionals in a specialized clinical setting. Standard dosages range from 75 mg/m² to 100 mg/m² administered over 1 hour every 3 weeks. Dosages are calculated individually based on Body Surface Area (BSA) rather than body weight alone. Patients must be premedicated with corticosteroids (such as dexamethasone) starting the day before infusion to reduce fluid retention and hypersensitivity reactions.
