Synagis

Synagis (palivizumab) is a humanized monoclonal antibody directed against the F glycoprotein of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), providing passive immunity to prevent severe RSV infection in high-risk infants.

The recommended dose of Synagis is 15 mg/kg of body weight, administered once monthly intramuscularly (IM), preferably in the anterolateral aspect of the thigh, throughout the RSV season (typically 5 monthly doses). Injection volumes greater than 1 mL should be given as divided doses.
