Suprax

Suprax (cefixime) is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, leading to cell death and clearing the infection.

Dosage by Body Weight

The standard adult dose is 400 mg daily, taken as a single dose or divided into two 200 mg doses. For children 6 months and older, dosing is based on body weight (typically 8 mg/kg/day). Always complete the full prescribed course.
