Spasmolysin
Spasmolysin contains Trospium chloride, an anticholinergic and antispasmodic agent. It works by blocking muscarinic receptors on the bladder smooth muscle, thereby reducing spasms, increasing bladder capacity, and delaying the initial urge to void.
Dosage by Body Weight
The standard adult dose is 20 mg twice daily, taken on an empty stomach at least one hour before meals. Dosage must be reduced to 20 mg once daily in patients with severe renal impairment. Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.
