Somatostatin
Somatostatin is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring peptide hormone (somatotropin release-inhibiting factor). It acts as a potent inhibitor of growth hormone, glucagon, insulin, and various gastrointestinal secretions, making it highly effective in reducing splanchnic blood flow and managing acute bleeding or secretory disorders in the digestive tract.
