Sirdalud
Sirdalud is a centrally acting muscle relaxant containing Tizanidine. It acts mainly on the spinal cord by stimulating presynaptic alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, thereby inhibiting the release of excitatory amino acids that stimulate motor neurons. This helps reduce muscle tone and relieve spasms.
Dosage by Body Weight
For painful muscle spasms, the standard dose is 2 mg to 4 mg three times daily. For neurological spasticity, the initial daily dose is up to 6 mg given in 3 divided doses, which can be gradually increased up to 24 mg to 36 mg daily depending on clinical response. Always follow a physician's prescription.
