Rifabutin
A rifamycin antibiotic. It is used instead of rifampicin in HIV patients because it has fewer drug-drug interactions with antiretroviral medications.
Dosage by Body Weight
Pediatric dose: 5 mg/kg once daily. Monitor for uveitis (eye inflammation) and low white blood cell counts.
