Pred-G

Pred-G is a sterile ophthalmic combination containing Prednisolone acetate (a corticosteroid to alleviate swelling and inflammation) and Gentamicin sulfate (a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic to fight bacterial infections). It is indicated for ocular inflammation associated with superficial bacterial infections of the eye.

Dosage by Body Weight

Ophthalmic suspension: Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) 2 to 4 times daily. During the initial 24 to 48 hours, the dosage may be safely increased up to 1 drop every hour. Ophthalmic ointment: Apply a small amount (approximately 1/2 inch ribbon) in the conjunctival sac 1 to 3 times daily.
