Penicillin G

Penicillin G (benzylpenicillin) is a narrow-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible pathogens. Because it is unstable in gastric acid, it must be administered parenterally via intravenous infusion or intramuscular injection.
