Lumerax Dry Syrup
Lumerax Dry Syrup is a combination of two antimalarial active substances, Artemether and Lumefantrine. It is specifically formulated as a dry powder for reconstitution, making it easy to administer to infants and children who cannot swallow tablets. This medication works by killing the Plasmodium parasites inside red blood cells to cure the malaria infection.
Dosage by Body Weight
Reconstitute the dry syrup by adding boiled and cooled water up to the ring mark on the bottle and shaking vigorously. Must be administered with a fat-rich meal, milk, or infant formula to maximize absorption. The standard course consists of 6 doses spread over 3 days. The first dose is given at diagnosis (0 hours), the second dose at 8 hours, and the subsequent 4 doses twice daily (every 12 hours) for the next 2 days.
