Locula
Locula is an antibacterial ophthalmic solution containing Sodium Sulfacetamide. It belongs to the sulfonamide class of antibiotics and works by limiting the synthesis of folic acid, which bacteria require for growth. It is used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial eye infections.
Dosage by Body Weight
Instill 1 to 2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) every 2 to 3 hours initially, then reduce the frequency as the infection is controlled. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface to prevent contamination.
