Liquaemin

Liquaemin is a brand name for heparin sodium, an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that prevents the formation of blood clots. It works by activating antithrombin III, which blocks the action of clotting factors like thrombin. It is administered via intravenous or subcutaneous injection.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage must be strictly individualized based on the patient's coagulation test results (such as activated partial thromboplastin time, aPTT). It is typically administered in a clinical setting as a continuous intravenous infusion or intermittent subcutaneous injection.
