Fragmin

Fragmin is a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) that acts as an anticoagulant. It works by binding to antithrombin III, accelerating its inhibition of coagulation factors Xa and IIa, thereby preventing the formation of blood clots.

Dosage by Body Weight

Fragmin must be administered by subcutaneous injection. Do not administer intramuscularly. Dosage is highly individualized based on the therapeutic indication, patient's body weight, and clinical monitoring (anti-Xa activity), particularly in pediatric patients.

    Dose
    100 to 150 units/kg
    Frequency

    Dose
    500 to 1050 units
