Lipochol

Lipochol contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid, a naturally occurring bile acid that helps reduce cholesterol secretion from the liver and slowly dissolves cholesterol-based gallstones. It is also used to improve liver function in patients suffering from primary biliary cholangitis.

Dosage by Body Weight

Dosage is highly individualized based on body weight and the condition being treated. The typical adult dose for gallstone dissolution is 8-10 mg/kg/day, taken in two divided doses or as a single dose at bedtime. For primary biliary cholangitis, the standard dose is 13-15 mg/kg/day in two to four divided doses. It should be taken with food.
