Istalol
Istalol is a prescription beta-blocker eye drop containing timolol maleate. It works by reducing the amount of fluid produced inside the eye, which lowers the pressure within the eye and helps prevent vision loss or damage to the optic nerve.
Dosage by Body Weight
The standard dose is 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the morning. To prevent systemic absorption, apply gentle pressure to the tear duct (nasolacrimal occlusion) for 1 to 2 minutes after instillation.
