Hedrin

Hedrin is a topical head lice treatment range. The primary active ingredient is dimeticone, a silicone substance that physically coats and smothers the head lice and their eggs, preventing them from breathing and causing them to die. Since it acts physically rather than chemically, lice cannot build up resistance to it.

Dosage by Body Weight

Apply enough product to dry hair to thoroughly wet the scalp and hair from root to tip. Ensure the entire scalp is covered. Leave on for the recommended time depending on the specific product variant (e.g., 15 minutes for Hedrin Once, 1 hour or overnight for Hedrin 4% Lotion) then wash out thoroughly. Repeat the application after 7 days to treat any lice that may have hatched from remaining eggs.
